The fraction of volume of the Universe that the Earth occupies is so close to zero that it would not be imprecise to say Earth doesn’t exist at all 😮.

Earth 🌏, of course exists and we are on it but it occupies such a miniscule portion of the Universe that it would be extremely difficult to find, say, for an alien, even if a lot of information about Earth is known to it.

The famous astronomer Carl Sagan described how the Earth looks like a ‘pale blue dot’, merely from within our solar system (close to Saturn).

What if we try to focus on Earth using a telescope from a million light years away? What will we see? Can we see the bustling life on Earth? Maybe, maybe not. We could perhaps deduce some of the light using spectroscopy but that information would be a million years old (do you know why??)

Just pouring out my thoughts today, feel free to comment and discuss.
