Latest research has confirmed that UV light from nail polish dryers causes DNA damage that increases risk of #cancer.

The study shows that irradiation by a UV-nail polish dryer causes high levels of reactive oxygen species, consistent with 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine damage and mitochondrial dysfunction.

This can cause both DNA damage and permanent mutations that can eventually lead to genetic diseases and cancer.
