However, satellite constellations, such as those launched by SpaceX, have created significant light pollution in the night sky. Astronomers are pushing for regulations that would limit the number and brightness of these satellites. Protecting the night sky is not only important for astronomy but also for the environment and human health. Light pollution disrupts ecosystems and can negatively impact wildlife, while exposure to artificial light at night has been linked to health problems such as sleep disorders and cancer.
